You are an ignorant fuck
shut the fuck up. you are talking nothing but shit.
clearly you have never been out of your home before, either that or you are one of those people that defeat the purpose of travel by eating and sleeping the same way they do when they are at home so that they don't feel so home sick and don't have to realise that there is actually a huge world filled with diverse and beautiful things out there and you have missed it because your head is in the sand.
as far as eating the food and sitting on the toilet for a week, if you use your head correctly and take note of what you eat and take the proper precautions then eating in Kathmandu is wonderful.
as far as hotels go, when was the last time you saw a hotel in the US for US$5 a night with a twin bed, hot water and breakfast served in the morning?
because hat is the value for money you will find if you actually look around Kathmandu and many other less well off countries.
my message here really is to just let people who read this bullshit know that what this moron has said is not true, and there are hundreds of incredible things to see and do in Nepal and the food, people and accommodation come in all colours and qualities.
as for the writer of this, wake the fuck up before you waste your life.
as for me, ill be trekking through the Annapurna ranges in a few months, something other than Mt Everest to do in Nepal, fancy that?

Looking forward to Kathmandu
Peter, rather strong language but take your point - I'm in the middle of organising a world trip and the only reason I wanted to go to Kathmandu was because I get to travel to Tibet from there, however, trying to get one trip to link with another is rather exasperating and realised I would end up staying there a few days between excursions so looked a bit further into it and realised that I'm actually glad I'm getting to stay a few days. My only comment for those that have said bad things about the place is that everyone's entitled to their opinion and I'll reserve mine until I see the place, however, I would like to think that regardless of what country I visit that I will look at things with an open mind and respect each country, its people and their way of life regardless of my own opinions.
PS I've stayed in a few dodgy places in the states and got food poisoning from a cafe in my home town here in England!

Massachusetts?
City rating:
Adelaide is in South Australia, not Massachusetts :) I tried to correct it, but I didn't have access.
