Budapest is nice city, and of course I vote for Buda part! Don't miss somloi galuska=great cake! I think you should remove the sentence " quite poor or whatever" it doesn't fit, in my opinion... Well, Budapesters are big pets lovers...If you are lucky you can meet great people Eva, Adri and Zoli =good time100%. In Budapest also lives (temporarily)Nick's maid of honour/best man... She is very nice lady:-)...Jo ejt =good night!

some facts
City rating:
People do not like to speak other languages then their own, Hungarian, which is pretty difficult to learn. Customer service is on the lowest level. Hungarians consider themselves smart but depressive people(I agree.)Nice sense of humor , though. City is clean, especially Buda side. You can find many places to go out ...check them in EXIT guide which can be found for free almost everywhere(shops, restaurants,super-markets). Most reliable and cheapest TAXI service is CITY Taxi . Public transportation is very good. If you like the architecture, ask where is Budavar (castle area), you will not regret it. All in all this city deserves to be seen, but prepare your self for non-touristic oriented population.
