Candlestick Lane is the name for a neighborhood in eastern Urbana. It is called Candlestick Lane because every year the residents decorate their yards for Christmas with lots of lights and figures. The tradition began in 1961 (maybe 1960) as a house-decorating contest sponsored by the Illinois Power Company.

The Urbana Free Library is located in the downtown area. The library is one of the first public libraries in Illinois and was founded in 1874. The library houses historical archives of Champaign County which can be used for genealogical research. Osbourne Village, the most cultural and diverse area of Winnipeg just outside Downtown ,featuring many restaurants and shops for every walk of life of coarse including sushi lovers. Everything from gothic stores and tatoo places to a custom futon place and antique shop, along with small stores specializing in modern fashions and accessories.

Inn At The Forks is a must stay hotel, very elegant boutique hotel in the heart of down town at the forks, also beautiful historical Fort Garry Hotel, where Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Anne stayed on many occasions including when Winnipeg hosted the Americas at the 1999 Pan Am Games.
