Located on the picturesque southern coast, Oranjestad is the historic Dutch capital of Aruba, where the traditional, tall, multicolored houses combine carved wooden doors and typical Dutch tiles with open-air patios. The charm of the city complements the beauty of this popular Caribbean island where the Dutch and indigenous cultures have merged to give Aruba its unique atmosphere.

Parisians...are Rude afterall.
Went there in August with an open mind, left convinced that the French are just asses. The problem may be the city itself: it is so gorgeous that the French merely don't need or care, for every bad consumer/tourist experience, there are thousands waiting. Didn't even matter if you were fluent in French (as we were) or as un-American as you could attempt to be. The cafe food was attrocious - possibly the worst I have ever had - with one cook darting between three kitchens to dole out Redi-Whip deserts and naga-hyde rooster meat to tourist cafe after tourist cafe. Terrible surly service. And good luck trying to find a bathroom!
Double trouble if your need is more severe.
Tourist trap in every sense (Central Paris). Ettiquette and manners which would have them canned in this country. Surly, xeonophobic and cold. We'll see as the Euro plunges if they can sustain turning away who they choose even at empty restuarants. What a shame, and a disappointment. London is far more livlier and "real"!
