The Henry Doorly Zoo is widely considered one of the premier zoos in the world. It houses the world's largest indoor rainforest exhibit, indoor desert exhibit, and nocturnal animal exhibit, the largest cat complex in North America, and one of the country's best aquariums outside of SeaWorld.

When you think of Omaha you think steak. It's the specialty, but Omaha can also take your mouth on a world tour of taste. Omaha has the popular chains, and it also has local restaurants, unique places you won't find anywhere else.

Local "black" markets have much to offer. Language barrier is an issue, so bartering can be problematic. Best to have a local as a guide and don't be surprised at the practice of Mongols being charged far less than tourist.

Cashmire is a reasonable purchase. A cashmire or camelhair blanket will be a purchase you will enjoy for decades.

Be very careful of traffic. Pickpockets. Being out at night might be a problem, yet doesn't seem to bother residents, but much of the city's once operational street lighting doesn't work.
