Miami has the largest Latin American population outside of Latin America itself with nearly 65% of its populace either from Latin America or of Latin American ancestry. Spanish is a language often used for day-to-day discourse in many places, although English is the language of preference, especially when dealing with businesses and government. You will find that almost all locals speak English to a comfortable if not fluent level. Despite this, it is not at all uncommon to encounter a local who does not speak English at all, though this is usually centered amongst shops and restaurants in residential communities and not generally the case in large tourist areas or the downtown district

Enjoy a world-class marine-life entertainment park with eight different marine animal shows and astonishing daily presentations. Miami Seaquarium®is a place of inspiration, education and fun.
The Miami International Boat Show, a spectacular five-day sports event in Miami.

Miami may be known for its Latin cuisine, especially its Cuban cuisine, but there are other different kinds of restaurants to be found around the city. In addition to stand-alone restaurants offering up various cuisines from Chinese and Japanese and Middle Eastern and Italian (among other cuisines), there are cafés, steakhouses and restaurants operating from boutique hotels as well as chain restaurants such as TGI Fridays and Ben & Jerry’s.
Miami , Hotels:

Miami accommodations are suited for work or play, offering amenities for every mood and budget. From fabulous chic boutiques to luxuriously tropical resorts, and charming romantic hideaways to comfortable family getaway you’ll find it all.
Miami , Safety:
10/10
Miami, frequently heralded in the news as a center of crime and drug smuggling, is relatively dangerous for the passing tourist in certain areas. Liberty City has the highest violent crime rate in the city and is best if avoided all together. If in this, or any other high crime neighborhood for any reason, take the same precautions as you would in other high crime neighborhoods around the country. Such as minding one's business, getting to your destination quickly, and avoid wearing flashy jewelry and electronics. Remember that most common sense rules such as being aware of your surroundings at night and traveling in high-traffic areas at night apply in Miami as it does in all other urban areas around the United States.

Crime
It says stay on main roads with more traffic and you'll be okay? My best friend was driving down a busy road during rush hour and got a bullet in her windsheild from a driveby in the intersection. That crime rating is bs. And the crime is everywhere, especially in tourist areas, cos that's where the money's at...It's not rocket science. Plus anywhere outside south beach and bayside, you will have difficulties finding people who speak enough english to understand. If you are coming here, bring an english/spanish dictionary, and take the extra precautions like the other commentor mentioned, no purses, avoid outdoor ATM's, make sure you lock your car doors and don't leave things laying in view in the car that would attract theives. One of the common mistakes tourists make is leaving the car door unlocked. Also, be aware of the people around you, and your surroundings, especially at night. It's common sense precautions. I would not have rated our safety at a 10.

Places to see
We also have Viscaya, Coral Castle, Venetian Pools (cold water springs), Dadeland Mall, Aventura Mall, Dolphin Mall, The Everglades, Coral Gables- specifically Miracle Mile, Coconut Grove, And they didn't mention, I believe it was seaworld that recently made it so you can swim with the Dolphins. We have Jungle Island, where you can see a Liger. You can take a drive through star island where the rich and famous live. You go a little further south and you have Cutler Ridge, and a little further north and you'll find the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which also has an ampitheater where a lot of the most famous bands and musicians play. And there is the Miccosukee Indian Village..They have a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino by them too..
And we have some of the top rated hotels in the world. Who did these ratings?! We have hotels for every price range, including the old hotels in the famous Art Deco district with art deco architecture, most of which have been restored and updated inside. I recommend you also check out the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Built over the site where a VA Hospital and it's graveyard use to lie, it's believed that the 13th floor is haunted by the ghosts of the Veteran's that were buried there. There were scenes from the film Bad Boys that were filmed there. If you take a boat tour at Bayside you'll see the mansion used for "Tony Montana's" home in Scarface. And you can find Miami Ink on South Beach.
Obviously there is a lot more than just seaworld..
