Hamilton, is Bermuda's administrative center and largest city. It boasts a large quantity of museums, some fine buildings and architecture. It has a fine Anglican cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity. There are numerous forts, fortifications and bits of Royal Naval heritage. There are cinemas, a variety of shops, bars, hotels and restaurants. The city is also blessed with markets, gardens, stalls, beaches, squares and plazas with wide streets, boulevards and walkways.

When buying groceries or other non-souvenir items of that nature, be aware that the best prices are usually away from the more "touristy" areas. When buying these sort of things, go to where the locals go.

Bring your own yacht and anchor, moor or dock for free in all the islands' coves for up to 6 months.

The islands have ample rainfall, but no rivers or freshwater lakes. As a result drinking water is collected on the roofs of all buildings (by law) and in special catchment areas, and stored in tanks under the ground for each home or property.

Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo. Centerpieced by a 140,000 gallon replica coral reef, this one of Bermuda's main attractions. Over three hundred birds, reptiles and mammals and 200 species of fish. Adults $10, Seniors $5, ages 5 to 12 $5.

Two relatively unique Bermudian dishes are salted codfish, boiled with potatoes, the traditional Sunday breakfast, and Hop n' John, a simple dish of boiled rice and beans. With most restaurants, the closer you are to the cruise ship docks, the more expensive the menu will be.

Accommodations in Bermuda are very expensive. There are many exclusive and four star accommodations. There are also a wide variety of B&B style accommodations and smaller guestroom hotels. There are no cheap hotels or hostels in Bermuda.

Violent crime is becoming increasingly problematic in Bermuda, but is still very rare compared to other destinations in the Caribbean. Most of the time it's only petty crimes like robbery. Make sure that you properly lock up any rented moped when leaving them unattended. Using common sense and keeping an eye out is usually sufficient to deter most thieves. Also remember that homosexuality is seen as taboo in Bermuda and showing significant affection in public to the same sex might result in a fine.

Grenada's capital, St. George's, is an attractive colonial town nestled in the hillsides above a horseshoe-shaped harbour. Low, whitewashed and terracotta-roofed buildings follow the sweep of the bay, standing out against the rich green of the surrounding vegetation. During the eighteenth century, the town was partly gutted by three devastating fires, leading to legislation that restricted the height of buildings and banned the use timber.

St. George's Town is a place of commerce with the many banks, businesses, and governmental offices. Do not confuse it for the beach. It is often seen as rude or disrespectful for people to walk around Grenada inappropriately dressed, especially if you are dressed for the beach and you are not on it. Do not confuse the laid-back attitude for lazy, as Grenadians have a very formal and conservative attitude about their lifestyle and workplace.

The Caribbean kitchen is famous for spicy dishes, exotic fruits and the most delicious variety of sea food. The cocktail of French, Spanish, Indian and African cooking, makes every dish an adventure

Crab and Callaloo, Crab backs cooked with callaloo and served hot. These are land crabs, not the marine variety.

Pepper pot, several different kinds of meat, beef, oxtail, pork ..... whatever is available, cooked with a lot of pepper, garlic, onions chive and thyme and usually served with rice and peas.

Pig souse, made from the knuckles and trotters and usually with grated cucumber...

Grenada is a fairly safe country. There may be more danger for pedestrians on narrow sidewalks and streets than from crime.
