Galway is the only city in the province of Connacht in the Republic of Ireland. The city is located on the west coast of Ireland. City is often considered to be the Cultural Capital of Ireland, and is world renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals, celebrations and events. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. Despite being a small city, Galway has everything you could ask for in terms of shopping, entertainment, nightlife etc.

One airport - Galway Airport, located 6 kilometres east of the city, connecting Galway to the other major airports in Ireland, to major airports in Britain and also has flights to a small amount of continental European destinations.

Seafood (Schooners on the Bay), pub/seafood (Morans on the Weir), seafood diner (Conlons), authentic Chinese (Da Tang Noodle House), pub grub and huge beer selection(Sheridan's on the Dock ), American style diner (Scotty's Sunset Grill), Asian fusion (Orchid Restaurant).

A pleasant surprise for most visitors. You think eastern Europe is all grey post communism heavy industry with factories speing out thick black smoke? Think again. Kiev is one of the greenest capitals I've ever seen (and I've seen 62) with huuuuge parks right in the city centre.

All imported goods are just as expensive as in western Europe.

There is a reason to why you can't find ukrainan restaurants all over the world, but some very tasty stuff if you know where to look and which meals to avoid. Plenty of indian, turkish, italian, chinese and mexican places to dine too.

Either superexpensive luxuryhotels like Hyatt og Radisson, og expensive ex-Soviet-style coloss hotels with service attitude stright from the KGB-book. Save your money and rent an apartment instead, seriously.

Not worse than any western European big city, but keep an eye, or a hand, on your wallet and valuables in the horribly crowded metro.
